Valentines Day 2013

Valentines Day morning I went in to "work" in the morning, filming for a SUPER fun project I can't wait to share, but I had to wake up at 4:30am, which was no fun.

But I was able to leave Blake his presents so he could find them when he woke up.

A finger painting from Kaleb (with strategically placed tape by Mommy)

And a simple little painting from me.

When I came home Blake had Kaleb fed and happy.
He also had a this beautiful bouquet, adorable teddy and lovely card all ready for my swooning.

He said the flowers were for me and the bear was for Kaleb.
All of our gifts on the piano under our family "gallery"

Blake's second present to me was big long nap! It was glorious.

We then took a trip to cold stone and let our little boy indulge in some sweet stuff he is usually NEVER allowed to eat.

I had me favorite 1/2 cheese cake and 1/2 chocolate with gram cracker pie crust and brownie mix in
Blake had chocolate malt with white chocolate chips.

It was do deliciously bad.

Then we took a trip to the "econo-movies" for a family viewing of Wreck-it-Ralph at the Brea Plaza 5

Kaleb enjoyed the popped corn.

And thats when things got painful and AWFUL... but thats another post.

A long post.

Homemade Gifts, Handmade Presents

This holiday season, I decided to make all of our gifts.
I knew there wouldn't be that many. We only get gifts for the children in my family and a white elephant gift. In Blake's family, we're "assigned" a sibling's family (but we also get goodies for the rest of the kiddos)

Heres a rundown of everything I made:
(as I get around to posting the tutorial or pattern review I'll link it back to this post)

1.  Wallet for Blake.

2) Birthday Board for Grandma

2. Fabric, foldable doll houses and Peg dolls for our niece and two little cousins.

4. Braided scarf and bracelet for our sister in law, Becky

5. Princess Peg Dolls and Bag for a white elephant

6. Balance Game for my brother and cousin - Blake did most of work for these - We actually made another one specially for Quinn, but I didn't get a picture.

7. Alien and Ninja Peg Doll "Roll Ups" for two cousins and a nephew

8. Beach Blanket Tote for my little cousin (sorry for the crappy color)

9. Monster Plushies for Lincy and our baby cousin.

10. Lemon Sugar Scrub and Lemon Shower Bombs for our second white elephant

... and a couple of framed pictures for Grandparents.

It was a lot of work but SO much fun! So much fun,  in fact I've opened up my own ETSY store and have most of these projects listed. I'm not counting on making money, just hoping to have more fun projects to do, funded by others that I don't have to keep. :D
