Blake the Graduate!

This past Sunday was Blake's graduation ceremony at Cal State Fullerton.
Hes considered himself "graduated" since December, when he took his last final, but he finally got to "walk" and I was very excited for him.

He truly earned his Bachelors in Communications with an emphasis in Advertising. (YAY BLAKE!)
Thank You!

His family was at the ceremony, including Mom and Dad, Jordan and Freesia, Quinn and Becky and Vance and Melissa. We were so very thankful they made the trip to be with us on Blake's day.

This ones for Mom and Dad!

Especially since we didn't have any ticket and basically "snuck" in at the last minute. (they let us in)
Blake's family had to sit in the very back (so sad) but I grabbed my baby belly and walked around the front and center of the seats until someone said I could have a seat they were saving. :D

Yes, I'm milking it. No, I don't care. My feet hurt, and I got the see my Blake graduate up close and personal. :D

My goodness, he's handsome!

We were only missing Jillian, Kyle and Becca, who were in Utah welcoming the newest addition to their family, Baby Paul Michael Gardner. (Hello, Paul! We love you.)

Welcome to the family, little one! <3

After the ceremony we had a mini photo shoot.
(by the way, Dad was the photographer the entire time, I did grab my camera but didn't use it much. Thanks Dad!)

Brothers and the Wives.

Its the Greens! (all 5 couples.)
aww, Parental love.
Our growing (and successfully educated) family

LOVE HIM!

Brothers.

The Ladies.
After we left the Campus, we all went to my Dad's house for a super yummy BBQ! I, unfortunately, didn't take ANY pictures there, but it was lots of fun.

There were cupcakes, decorations, sour patch kids, hot dogs, peach soda, hot wings, frog eye salad (brought and made by Blake's fantastic mother) enchiladas, family and friends. It was so nice to be with family and celebrate with Blake.

My Dad is awesome.

But Sunday was all about the Blake and I could not be more proud of my husband. He worked so hard and sacrificed a lot for us and our family.

I absolutely adore you, Blake.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Sleeping and Dreaming

I have been so out of it lately.
I'm pretty sure its because of my lack of sleep.
Sure I sleep in till 8 or 9am, but I can't fall asleep before 3!

I'm so uncomfortable in bed.
Seriously, I think I proclaim "I hate going to bed." at least once a night.
And usually when I so tired I can't keep my eyes open.

Snoogle Pillow
I just feel so dense. You know how, on holidays or special occasions you sometimes stuff yourself with all manner of deliciousness and when you're all done eating, you realize how incredibly full you are and you so uncomfortable for about an hour until the food digests more? Yeah, that's how I feel all the time!

Except instead of food, its by baby... so I don't want to digest him... I want to birth him... but not for another 4 months.

So in the meantime, I'm tossing and turning, trying to support my growing belly with pillows and wrapping my legs around Blake.

My only saving grace is the magnificent Snoogle pillow my amazing friend, Laura Chapman got for me early in my second trimester. Its helped so much, but I fear its powers may no longer work.

Oh, and the dreams... have I mentioned the vivid dreams I have?
I have always had some seriously real dreams. I generally don't know they're dreams when I'm in them, and despite his protests, I tell Blake all about them in the morning.

Artist's rendition of Jacob Black (Not the movie Jacob)
But since I've been pregnant, they gotten... so very vivid.
and they range from -

wonderful (playing with my happy, healthy Kaleb)

to scary (being chased by a knife wielding murderer bent set on carving me like a pumpkin)

to devastating (Blake has a secret girlfriend who he loves more that me)

to naughty (... YOU know what I'm talking about... but Blake is the only one whose made appearances in these dreams... well, Blake and once Jacob Black, but he's fictions so he doesn't count)

But regardless the theme, they're all SO real!

Basically I wake myself and Blake up, nightly, yelling or crying or screaming or something.

Discomfort and vivid dreams aside, I do love lying there and feeling Kaleb push and kick. I absolutely adore feeling him move and grow. Sometimes he puts some serious force behind his kicks, and those are difficult to get used to. I generally follow those up with an "oh!" of surprise.

But I do adore them.

They mean my little love is getting stronger and healthier as he should be.

I seriously can't wait to stay up all night with him.

I wont be getting any more sleep than I am now, but at least I'll be able to hold him!

Our new personal blog

Its time.

I'm LDS, I'm going to be a mom, I'm pretty sure its mandatory I have a personal blog.
Plus, I don't want to inundate our photo blog with all the personal stuff I now want to write about and share.

Don't worry, I'll still post a few personal things on the photo blog here and there, but this is now the main Green Family web-o-sphere.

Welcome.

(and don't forget to update your blog roll!)

What I'm going to go munch on now.
